In 1898 along the Dan River in Danville, Virginia the Dan River Textile Mill was constructed using 350 to 400 Year Old Long Leaf Pine trees taken from Old Growth forests.  At great expense, the huge logs were hauled in specifically to construct this building because these ancient towering trees produced wood that was the finest quality.

 

After manufacturing a variety of products, including army uniforms, the plant as closed in 2006. And now, this irreplaceable antique wood milled from trees that began growing before the European Colonists first arrived in North America, is being saved from the landfill and re-manufactured into multi-layered pre-finished Heart Pine flooring.  Included with every purchase is a Certificate of Authenticity to commemorate your use of this incredibly rare and unique wood.
